Meet your Teacher
Destiny Hwang- professional violinist
Destiny has been playing the violin for the past 30 years and teaching for over 22 years. She holds a violin performance degree from The Bob Cole Music Conservatory. She was taught in the Galamian tradition and trained as a Suzuki teacher. Destiny has a passion for teaching the violin and loves to share her knowledge with students of all ages.
About Violin for Joy-
I’ve always wanted my children to learn to play the violin, for obvious reasons, being a professional violinist myself. But as motherhood went on, I noticed that it wasn’t as easy as I thought to stay consistent with teaching them how to play the violin.
Homeschooling, chores, family life, running a business, and teaching lessons always seemed to take up much of my time. I began to think about how I could stay consistent with their music education, without compromising everything else that had to get done. That’s when Violin for Joy came to be.

FAQ’s
How long do we have access to the material?
Forever! It’s yours to keep.
How much practice is needed to hear improvement?
I recommend at least 10 minutes per day, with a day off here and there. If you (or your child) are older and have more attention span, 20-30 minutes per day will accelerate your progress.
I’ve just purchased level 1, how quickly can I expect my child to move through the coursework?
I designed level 1 to be completed in 6 months. Some will be slower than this and some quicker. It’s all normal and good!
How young can my child start level 1?
I recommend starting at 5 years old for most kids. If your child struggles with his or her attention span, I would wait until 6 years old.
What is your refund policy?
